  Our son has been at Bright Horizons Cromwell Road for just over a year now after transitioning from a nearby nursery. At the time he moved, he was already three years old and very settled in his previous setting, so the decision to move him was not something we took lightly. Due to circumstances beyond our control we unfortunately had to make the change, and naturally we were quite nervous about how he would adapt. Thankfully, those nerves were quickly put to rest. From the moment we arrived, the team made both our son and us feel so welcome. Looking back now, it was the best move we could have made. Over the past year we have seen our little boy truly flourish. What stood out from the beginning was how much care the team took to get to know him as an individual. They really took the time to understand his personality, interests and needs. Our son is a very energetic and enthusiastic little boy, and sometimes children like him can be quickly labelled or placed into a box. What has been so refreshing about this nursery is that this has never been the case. The team genuinely celebrate each child’s individuality and encourage them to grow in their own way. Over the past year they have nurtured his love of reading, creativity and imaginative play. We’ve also noticed how much the nursery encourages kindness and caring for others, which has been lovely to see reflected in him at home too. As well as showing kindness in the setting, kindness in the community is also encouraged. At Christmas, they took an offsite trip to a nearby nursing home - our boy was delighted to be selected as part of a small group to visit residents. He was brimming with pride to have this experience, as were we his parents. His key worker Daisy deserves a special mention. She is a hugely skilled, warm and positive practitioner who clearly cares deeply about the children she works with. Knowing that she has been at the nursery for ten years is incredibly reassuring. In fact, many members of the team have been there for years, which really speaks volumes about the supportive and positive environment the nursery has created for both staff and children. Marisa and Becca are clearly doing a wonderful job as management. The team are also very communicative and supportive with parents, which makes a big difference. We always feel informed about what our son has been doing during the day and how he is progressing. My only previous criticism has been that the interiors are a little tired and the preschool rooms being based in the basement initially raised a small concern for us. However, the children regularly spend time in the garden and other areas of the building, and the exciting refurbishment that is currently underway is already making a big difference and the pre-school will be moving floors. It’s great to see this investment being made, and the nursery is already starting to look fantastic. Most importantly, our son is happy, confident and excited to go to nursery each day, which says everything. We feel incredibly grateful to have found such a warm and nurturing environment for him. We also have another baby on the way and will be very happy for them to join the Bright Horizons family when the time comes.

  I cannot recommend this nursery enough. The team that Marissa and Becca have put together is so caring and wonderful with our daughter. I really appreciate the observations and updates of our daughter’s activities that come through on the app. It’s so nice to see her having a great time with friends. Special mention to Lilly & Tania for the smooth transition from home to nursery life. And also to Bethan, Bronte and Jake for her transition to toddlers and making our little girl so excited for nursery everyday.

  Our experience with Supersaurus has gone so far beyond anything we could possibly have expected. Every single staff member, including grounds staff, chef, management, admin etc. is absolutely delightful. Every key worker my daughter has had has got to know her almost as well as we do as parents and I genuinely feel they care for her on that level. They always strike the balance of education and fun beautifully. Dropping my little one off is a heart warming experience - she is excited to see her friends (big and small) and they are excited to see her. The nursery has been incredibly obliging when we have been disorganised and have had to book her in at very late notice, saving our skins many times over three years. I would recommend Supersaurus to absolutely everybody. When the Ofsted rating dropped from "outstanding" we were outraged. All the parents we spoke to agreed that they will always be outstanding to us.

  This is one of the best nurseries in Hove. All the staff know, all of the children, regardless of which group they are in. There is a range of activities for the children to do and even if they only spend a day there a week, the children seen that much ready to start school, when the time comes. The home cooked food is great. They have a large, all weather playing area at the rear.
